Anybody know what colour code "235" is for the Sprint - can't find it in any literature or on the 'web'

Thanks, Was that a 'standard' or 'common' colour for the Sprint ? My latest Sprint is yellow and has this no. [235] on the VIN plate - just hadn't heard of that shade before.

To be honest i have heard of snapdragon but not on a dolly, maybe some of the other guys on here can shed light on it,but if it's on the vin plate then it's likely dollys where offered in this colour at some point, what year is the car? that may be a clue of sorts.

There was a thread earlier saying that other BL paints (black, in that case) could be put on a Dolly as an extra cost special order. Perhaps it's one of those?

Snapdragon is pretty bright IIRC. It's nearer Mimosa than Inca. This pic doesn't quite do it justice but I've seen the Princess for real and it stands out a mile 8)

That's probably it ? Not that fussy 'cos I have no intention of changing it. It's a nice bright shade. The year is 1978 for the record

That's more to do with it being a Princess than bright yellow methinks!

Not heard of dolomites or any other Triumph in Snapdragon...Ian H?

Aluns comment was more to do with it being a Princess still left on the road. Most ahve succombed to the use as low life builders van by now.
Shame as they are quite nice...

Snapdragon was used on Princys, Morona's and Allagro's, Mini's. I've never seen it on a Dolly, but, i'd never seen Denim Blue Metalic on a Dolly (std) until Bill Shankland got hold of the 1300SE Prototype, so anything is possible.

That Princess was quite nice when it had Stag Alloys on it. IIRC, a Princess was the very first car I drove unacompanied (but under a watchful eye) and on private land, whilst not long out of short trousers
