I have just bought a set of sprint alloys for my toledo. What i have noticed is the two of the tyres are 185/70 R13 and the other two are 165 R 13. Which ones are the correct size for the dolomite/toledo.

Thanks

Alan

the 185 or 165 is the width , more width = more grip but you may have rubbing issues in the inner arches the 70 means the tyre wall height is 70% of the width.
so a 185/70 will be taller then a 165/70 will will give diiferent speedo readings by 2.25%.

not answered your question as it?

off topic,are you going sunday?

I have complete sets of both 175 and 185s (not on the same car!!) either size clears the arches.

Also a 195/50X15 on a 7J rim clear's the rear arch OK  .

Fit very well!

On any tolly/dolly with less than perfect bushes and springs 185 will rub on corners, potholes, at the bottom of dips etc. Put weight in the back or boot and it gets worse.

I'm running 185/70's and my car is very low. Rear arches have been "rolled", and I never get any contact on the rear.

Fronts only rub when I've got a fat bloke for a passenger, when cornering on full lock. (i.e. turning round in a side street)

Never get any rubbing when it's just me in the car, under normal and even hard driving.

I can't do potholes, speedramps etc anyway!

Some how I get one of my fronts to rub at full left lock. The rack appears to be central but has very unequal turning circles in left and right directions.

Think it hits the rack arm!
