Sprint Water Pump

Just fitting a replacement water pump.
Trouble is, the pump is very tight in the block and dosn't want to go in fully.

Any tips on sorting this?
I dont want to force anything and fork the new one!

Probably the new O rings on the brass cage sticking on the block; give the block a bit of a tickle with wet wet and dry (the wet stops any crap getting in the oil/waterways.

Thanks m8, will be trying that. There is a slight ridge around the brass cage, in line with the top of the holes which is fouling on the block. The old cage was a swine to get out for the same reason. I may also try putting the pump in the freezer to gain another few tenths of a millimeter!
