Track days and health

#1 Post by xvivalve »

A quick question some of you may know the definitive answer to:

If a person has been obliged to surrender their driving licence due to health issues are they still able to partake in track days, such events taking place on private land?

They can certainly go off roading at some of the courses as they don't require driving licences for that.

If you can go on a track without insurance, surely you can go without a licence...

I think all trackdays require you to have licence which you have to show when signing on. You would have to check with the organisers but certainly all msv tracks will require a licence.

maybe time to think of other forms of motorsport then, banger tracks didn't used to have a lot of rules but its been a while...

Surely though if they are too ill to drive on a road, a track session will be even more demanding....

The Motorsport Events track days require you to produce your licence as do the MGs on Track TDs. They do a spot check at the CC action days after the driver's briefing.

Thought as much, but better check before tempting folk with a 'corporate entertainment' kind of spin in the quicksprint. Hardly works if you invite Clients to be a passenger does it?
