i bet all those who have booked hotels and entered there car in the classic auction are made up with the decision ,and all the people who got there cars ready too, there isnt much of an explanation on the website as to why its been cancelled something must have cropped to cancel such a big event :(

Snow...Lots and lots and lots of snow. It's about 10 inches deep in the area of the showground as I understand it.

The site at Shepton Mallet is not great for driving classic cars on at the best of times, let alone with the amount of snow on the ground. I expect they have assumed that the vast majority of people won't risk taking their cars out anyway, as even if they don't mind the salt and snow, the odds of clueless numpties driving into them are significantly higher than normal.

The rearranged date is this weekend. I'd forgotten all about it until it was advertised on tele the other evening. Not sure if we're going yet.

umm now lets see when can we rearrange our car show, what about doing it on a bank holiday at short notice without checking what else is going on in the classic car scene
