Ross & District Motor Sports Club
The Bluebell Run
Saturday 9th May 2009
The Ross & District Motor Sports Club is running the ninth Bluebell Run on Saturday 9th May. The Bluebell Run is a scenic tour for Classic Vehicles over 20 years old and other “interesting” vehicles.
We offer a scenic tour of around 115 miles through the Royal Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and Welsh Marches with great scenery and wonderful views guaranteed.
The Bluebell Run is part of the Historic Rally Car Register (HRCR) Scenic Tour series.
Start is at The Dean Heritage Museum at Soudley, deep in the Forest of Dean and the finish is at The Chase Hotel in Ross-on-Wye.
The Bluebell Run is open to all; no Club membership or competition licence is required. As it is a non competitive event no special insurance is needed. It is an opportunity to drive your pre-1989 pride and joy on a picturesque route with other like minded souls.
Included in the entry fee, for a crew of two, is morning coffee, a ploughman’s lunch, a full hot meal at the finish at the finest hotel in Ross-on-Wye, a rigid “rally plate” and two fine engraved glass finishers awards.
The route is detailed in an easy to follow “Tulip” Style road book for the entire route together with notes on places of interest. Plenty of time is allowed for you to “stop and look.”
Good accommodation is available in the Ross-on-Wye area. The Tourist Information Centres at Ross-on-Wye and Coleford can be contacted direct for full accommodation lists for all budgets, and they can even book accommodation for you. They can be contacted on Ross (01989) 562768 and Coleford (01594) 812388.
Regulations and Entry forms will be available in late March and can be downloaded from
