Re: Insurance

I'm 30. Insurance with Lancaster for my 1850 is £240 - 10000 miles per year with breakdown cover, fully comp and protected no claims. Not bad if you have an accident either! They were very similar in price with my 1500 too.
Ta.

Thanks. I have been ignoring it for ages now. I have just spent money on new rear suspension, which is great because I now go round corners in one fluid(ish) motion instead of a series of wobbly and unnerving jerks. I think the inhibitor switch should be the next thing.
Re: Carb mounts

If you are a club member ask Bruce Jones. He had some for my 1850 at a very reasonable price. Shame I had already bought some from robsport. If they last less than 6 months I should be able to get my money back shouldn't I?
Rimmers now sell a gasket set for the exhaust manifold. Thanks everyone, Katy.

1850 exhaust manifold leak

I took it to the garage today to have it fixed and they said I needed a gasket. I phoned Rimmers to make sure I had one before I took it and they told me there wasn't one for my models exhaust, only one for a later type. Is this true? I can't see one (or three) on the car now. Also is the brake ...

Re: rubbers

Mill Autos can't get them anymore. Wish I had bought some when I first rang! I rang Quiller today and they cost the same a rimmers and wouldn't give me a discount for being a club member. I went to Robsport in the end and they still cost the same!

Re: Rubber carb mounts, RE 1850

My local motor factor quoted me about £47 for a pair. I have not ordered mine yet but I can order 2 lots if you don't find then cheaper elsewhere or you could try them yourself. www.millautosupplies.co.uk/</a ...
