Full is the new Empty
IIRC, if you earth out the positive feed to the tanl sender, the guage will read full. So if you are "full on empty" then i would suspect a dodgy Fuel tank Sender unit. Unlikely to be the guage itself, but could be a Voltage stabliser problem if you Temp Guage is also out of sync

I have Gaiters for the Top Balljoints in stcok at TDC Spares, just the Gaiters on their own or as part of a Top BJ Overhaul kit (but the kit can only be used on certain types of top BJ, so you have to check first). That's the good news, although my experience is that once the gaiter has gone west ...

Must be catching, faced with the same challenge as Jonners a few years ago, I too reinforced the area with a sheet steel plate, didn't rivet it though, glued it with Araldite, rest of the shell fell apart before that plate needed any attention. Nasty place to weld, and the additional plate helps ...

The abilty to hold air under a variety of conditions. 'Leakage' is normally caused by corrosion of the rim where the bead sits and seals (or doesn't seal). Have the tyre removed and tou will probably find that corrosion has occurred under the black power coating. Strip the powder coating off. and ...

Strange, the 'Ballast' resister is normally in the loom on a Sprint. Jonners is our man on electrics, but IIRC the Sprint coil gets reduced battery voltage when running, only getting the full voltage on cranking.
