Make sure that you take all the backlash out the drive train before the standing start just lift the clutch with the brakes on till the revs drop make sure the car does not move tho, its amazing the shock loads that go through the diff and box when gears are slammed from a standing start, Might come ...

I had a problem like this a few years ago with a marine volvo engine that suddenly lost power started and ran fine but soon as heavy load went on vapor came out the carbs turned out to be cam timing, Anyone known a chain to jump/stretch?<br>

I have the same problem with my 1500, it seems to be running on 3 when no load is on the engine but clearing soon as i start moving, my only thought is that i had my carbs set up last month as i failed the mot on co, and as i did not know what time the guy that was doing the set up was coming i had ...

I would steer well clear of wrapping the exhaust as all my the times i have had to work with it i have been taking it off as it has rotted the pipes by holing moisture or burnt valves by not letting the heat escape, it does stop over heating under the bonnet but i would go for careful air ducting ...

Having just done my clutch i have a lightend flywheel maybe there is more to my engine than i thought, it always has has a willingness to rev and pull me along at licence loosing speeds, now looking for a decent set of roller rockers,

Have you looked at your prop shaft joints? these can cause a judder when taking up drive even loose bolts to diff or gearbox, if those are ok the damper springs in the friction disk could be weak, While looking at the prop check the centre bearing and exhaust for touching the body, My 1500 had the ...
