First time Track Builder - Engine overhaul

#1 Post by tryitnsee » Fri Sep 30, 2005 10:36 am

Guys, First timer looking to put my Dolly on the track. I've collected all the poly bits ( I think ) and have Sierra 4pots waiting for my vented conversion ( any more info on that? ) - the motor is sitting on an engine stand awaiting my selection while my Visa is in my pocket trying to take cover behind my library card....... hope to get a season or two out of the motor. Suggestions for upgrades?
Also have a Merc supercharger sitting around from a 230 - no-ones supercharged a Dolly Sprint before apparently - any major reason why not? A step too far perhaps?
Oh Yeah - doing all this while living and working in Brussels so no easy access to Mr Kitley and the like......

thanks
67 Triumph 2000 MK1 - Keeps the girlfriend from damaging mine!
78 Alfa GTV2000 - It's the exhaust note - sorry!
69 Citroen DS 23Pallas - Girlfriends dream car - so I'm in the good books for a long while yet.

Thanks Adam, I've emailed the guy for any advice on this one. Hopefully it'll help cut the amount of time scratching bits I shouldn't while figuring out what I do next!
I'll also be speaking to BK and his engine guru - see what goodies they've got to help out.
I didn't see anything about lowering the compression ratio - which I assumed would be necessary - so waiting for an answer on that......
Cheers
