They have a reputation of breaking regularly. Apparently the post 2004 engines are better but before that, if you manage 12000 miles without needing an engine rebuild then you are doing well.<br>

Tuscan forums tend to cover the woes pretty well. Good engine when its working though.<br>

That bloke up north who was trying to punt his dismantled russet 1850 for ages (but wouldn't put the wing back on first) was putting the speed 6 into his TR6...but TVR were doing their best to prevent him!
