Failing that, swap two shifts with someone, then you only need to work 6 days in the two weeks between leaving and getting the money...

theres got to be a cut off date for the payment if you pass that date then the payment should be automatic wether your still employed by or not them dont forget it they who are closing it i dont supose you have a union being a jap outfit
but there is legislation to protect you and your rights this they can not overlook they have to give you the obvious notice and do have to give you a chance to look for other employment this is why the cut off date should be inplace
plenty of web sites for info on this type of thing

Well I finally got to talk to someone important today. One of the boys I work with his aunty is something high up and in the know. Loyalty bonus is if your there unitl the 1st of October. By including all my sick days and days off I'm entitled to I fall short of that date by 2 working days! I've been told to try writing a letter of appeal to Personel Manager, Fingers crossed
no big problem, come back to do two shifts like Malc said. Swap shifts around so you work two days over a weekend the last week in september, get the train back for the two days, pocket the cash. No problem.
Hitchin a lift always worked for me in the past too, but I suspect attitudes have changed as much as our physical attributes!

Hitching...

#22 Post by Jon Tilson » Tue Aug 22, 2006 11:25 am

is now far tougher.
The best aid is to get George to get you an old trade plate and pretend to be a delivery driver.
That ups your chances substantially.
No you cant borrow mine...cos you'd have to hitch from Wales.

I concur....
take all your holiday and do an extra late shift of two and delay your leaving date.
Nothing you will miss at Brooks will be worth 400 quid.
You'll be gald of the rest I reckon. I don't know how I managed to go out every single night and get drunk.

Seriously I can't. I don't remember most of my second year.
