Temperature Gauge
74 Degree Stat
Any chance you can post the part number of your 74 Degree stat (from the receipt) It would be useful for cross referencing purposes. I managed to find a 78 Degree Stat.

Temperature gauge readings
Over the years that I have been driving 1500HLs I have had to change a couple of temperature senders because they have made the gauge read low after being in use for a number of years. So I would recommend changing the temperature sender.

The only time that I have had a problem with a gauge reading high it turned out to be a faulty gauge.
