Paddy Hopkirk mirrors onto Toledo.
Shortly after purchase of the car, I decided that I would like to change the mirrors to ones that have a touch more practicality (and style) of them than the original TEX mirrors. After searching online, I decided I would like to purchase the Paddy Hopkirk mirrors (as used on the BMW E9 and some ...

Silver to black grills on the Toledo.
I bought these black and silver grills from eBay to put on the Toledo, the original silver grill was begining to crack around the edges and the fixing points were worn through. After paying £20, I think the black compliments the white perfectly.

Re: My lovely Toledo (with a few tasteful upgrades).
Hi Richard,
Me and my friend had to cut thick metal, weld it into the Rover runners, then drill holes so they could be in line with the existing holes on the floor pan and weld a piece in so the rear hole next to the tunnel could be fitted.

My lovely Toledo (with a few tasteful upgrades).
Some photos of the Toledo below. She’s had quite the amount of work put into her since date of purchase in June ‘24 (a belated 29th birthday present to myself), she’s had; Electronic ignition (fitted before purchase), new clutch cylinders, new ignition coil and HT leads, fluids, coolant and filters ...

Re: Rover seats into Toledo (finally finished).
I suppose it’s all down to driver comfort. These particular 400 seats I’ve fitted don’t have the height adjustable function, my friend who fitted them gave the seats a whirl first and drove round the block, he said the seating position was perfect for him, though he is around 5’8”. Then I had a go ...

Rover seats into Toledo (finally finished).
I put a post up the other day on here when myself and my friend upgraded to Rover 400 seats from the original, non-reclining seats. At the time of the last post, I had put the Rover passenger seat into the Triumph. Now, they’re both in.
I bought these two as a last minute deal before the entire 400 ...

90’s Rover 400 seats into Toledo.
A few months back, I decided to change the seats in the Toledo - Purely based on the facts that I am over 6 foot tall and the original (non reclining) seats are just too uncomfortable. So I purchased a set of front seats from a mid to late 1990’s Rover 400 that was heading for the crusher.

Re: Brake discs (Part Number: 312078)
Hi Xvivalve,
Thank you for letting me know - I contacted RimmerBro’s today who let me know that they didn’t know when they were going to start stocking them again after the sad passing of the chap who had said moulds and they were “pending re-manufacture” - Here’s hoping it’s soon!

Chrome locking fuel cap adaptation - YES, IT WORKS!
I’ve noticed some people (myself at first included ) have had a bit of a pickle finding locking chrome caps to fit their Toledo/Dolomite. So, after some research and carefully measuring the inner lug (the three prong style parts that secure it onto the inner of the upper filler neck - The serrated ...
