Re: West Yorkshire Meetings
I've decided to go with The Railway. My signature will be updated accordingly. Thanks for the suggestions. They may come in as a Plan B if things don't work out at The Railway.

West Yorkshire Meetings
It has come to my attention (thanks Trevor) that The Old Brickworks has closed down and will be only available to people staying at the adjoining Premier Inn. This means that I need to start looking for another venue. I've already had some suggestions put forward but I'm open to further suggestions....

Re: Sold Sprint, saying goodbye and logging out
I recently sold my 1850 but I'm still a Club member and I'm attending my local meetings. You don't get rid of me THAT easily

Re: Multi Car Classic Insurance
Many moons ago when I had several Triumphs I used Footman James who did a multi-car policy with unlimited mileage. Also, when Peter James (formerly the James of Footman James) struck out on his own I think he might've offered the same. This was quite some time ago so my information may be out of date.

Re: Outdoor cover recommendations?
Sam, the car covers that Alid and Lidl sell should be suitable for what you need. I've had 2 such covers on my own Dolomite and they both eventually got destroyed by the weather. These covers will last for your intended timescale but not long term.

Ian Seabrook AKA HubNut posted THIS video on YouTube. The directive seems more to be about the "right to repair" while targetting dodgy operators (i.e. the cowboy mechanics).

I've had to put this car up for sale so this thread will come to an end unless the new owner documents their subsequent work on here.

RPR 171X - 1981 Russett Dolomite 1300 on YouTube
This car has turned up in the following YouTube video:

I'm sure the seller (Ceri) was a club member at one time. I remember her having a late Russett Dolly 1300.

Re: Just saying hello
I've only just picked up on this! (I spend too much time on YouTube).
I'm "supposed" to be the AO for West Yorkshire and I'm also from Halifax. My 1850 has ben languishing since 2016 as I've been busy with the rest of my fleet.

Re: NYE 751L - 1972 1850 auto
The Dolomite has been stood for 6 years. I've been busy with other cars and growing my YouTube channel. It is only recently that I've come back to it. Jeroen has reached out to me by PM. I'm renewing the entire ignition system but I'm doing it one part a a time so it is more of a parts sniper rifle ...

Re: NYE 751L - 1972 1850 auto
Yes, it is overdue an update Alun. I bought a new coil and condenser from Wins and fitted them both along with a set of points from my stash of 1850 parts. Still no spark from the coil when I crank the engine. I'm gonna have to renew the entire ignition system. I've found for in the other so-called ...

Re: NYE 751L - 1972 1850 auto
It has been such a LONG time since my last post: I've finally started to try get this engine running again. I had the replace the battery because it was bulging at the sides! I got myself a remote starter switch (Sealey VS205) so I can crank the engine while I'm working on it. Starting at the coil, ...
