Re: head gasket
Hey Tony,
That's a mean looking piece of equipment
Briefly, what's the principal behind it? (I'm sure I must have read it somewhere but it escapes me atm)
It's my head we're trying to remove btw.
Cheers

A big thanks to Chris and Justyn for organising this.
Another lovely day at this show, blessed with excellent weather especially towards the end of the day, it really does have a very relaxed atmosphere.

Re: Electronic ignition advice
I've got a lumenition set up on my 1850 - on it when we acquired the car- and touching a rather large plank of wood (with the Round Britain coming up) it's worked fine for 7 years!

Ok, we're in
It'll be the third time at the show and we've had a great day each time.
Looking forward to it.

Round Britain Run 2018
Well, it's drawing close!
Have done all I think I reasonably can to the Dolly, just a fuel filter to fit. A slight exhaust manifold blow but the bolts won't tighten up so I am advised we'll just have to put up with it as its probably unlikely to get much worse and not likely to be a catastrophic ...

We're planning on going.
If you have a spare pass, would we still have to book in, as I note the closing date for direct bookings is tomorrow (31 Aug)?
Thanks
Jeff

Yay - we're in! Got the windscreen display thingy today.
We'll certainly have a kettle, stove etc to bring. Plus mugs, etc!
We're staying at a hotel nearish so happy to meet in site.
So looking forward to this. We've kinda accidentally been before for Julie's birthday and had a great day.

Re: Dolly respray etc recommendation
Having got the GT6 looking pretty, we are now considering getting HOH in shape for its next 37 years in the reasonably near future and are looking for some recommendations for someone to do the job, maybe within 1/2 hour to 1 hour of NW London. (I had a quick chat with Dale at Moordale Motors a ...
