Re: Dolomite Sprint for sale
There is no coin trays on early manual cars, as i stated this car is VA10700DL so no O/D from factory. It was registered in Sept 1975. As stated the car is mix of early and late bits which unfortunately seems to be common issue these days, it would probably not put off most buyers who are just ...

Re: Dolomite Sprint for sale
The chassis number is VA10700DL on a P reg which makes it one of the last of the series 1 cars even though it is close to the "changeover period which introduced the series 2 cars" as such i would expect it to see features of the early Sprints, i agree there is a bit of early and late hybrid thing ...

ROBSPORT sale the one with the upgraded tensioner, i believe ROLAN tensioners should be avoided.

Re: oil
20/50w is fine and is as the manufacturer recommended back in the day. It is still possible to find the appropriate Duckhams/castrol brand etc on ebay if you look hard enough.

Re: The International MG & Triumph Spares Day 9th February 2025
First visit to this event and had a great time, thanks to those who manned the club stand and thanks to Matt for the club display stuff. Much appreciated. It was good to have a chat with Craig Shakespeare in the hall as well not seen him since the Isle of Wight Triumph weekends many years ago ...

Re: Triumph Dolomite Boot Seal
Where did you get it from ?
As already stated good nos is your best bet, but i have known people use COH Baines with positive results it may prove a decent alternative.

Re: Dolomite Sprint Works Cars SOE 8M, RDU 983M, MYX 175P
Yes it would certainly make sense that FRW 812L was a re-shell in white, as of course, as we know it it was in its original road going spec of Mimosa during the Geneva press launch. It did however race at least once in its Mimosa colour scheme as far as i know, before being as you say re-shelled or ...

Thanks for that info a couple of those i didn't have. SOE 8M is interesting as i have photos of its delivery to it's sponsor the Birmingham Post/colliers and it was originally MIMOSA. I believe one of the early drivers was John Bloxham.

Re: Aerial Position
Difficult to say certainly as Steve says later cars seem to be on the driver side front wing where earlier cars were on the same side but rear wing, however the press sprints were all front drivers wing and i am assuming they left the factory like that prior to travelling to Geneva for the launch. I ...

Re: Chassis number info
Steve, I currently cannot confirm the details for VA2062, 63 and 64 they are on my list for my next visit amongst a few other clarifications that i need to check, although i suspect that they all may be Mimosa as i noted that from around this time onwards the cars seemed to be painted in batches i ...
