Took Dolly out for a jolly thru the lanes of Kent this morning.
Lovely frosty morning.
Had a BIG smile ear to ear.
Back home for a bacon sarnie and a cup of coffee.......Still smiling!!

Love that SD1. I remember, as a kid, the day my father brought home the ex-police one he'd acquired (he was a police advanced wing driving instructor, so knew the car's history). I thought it was the dog's, and it still looks great!
Love the picture of the two cars together, you can see why the SD1 was thought as a cutting edge modern car, the dear old Dolomite does look like a car from a much earlier era when you see them together like that.
Hi All,
Really showing my age now but I saw the SDI body shells at Cowley in 1974 when I was there doing a Marina mech course
in 1974. They really looked ahead of the times and in the background on a frieght train was Rolls Royce body shells
awaiting their departure. GW
Thanks for the nice comments.

Reg :
she is Midas gold.
She has a genuine 55k on the clock.
Dolly I have owned for 20 yrs. She is auto and has a genuine 53k on the clock, I got her when she had 28k on the clock and I am the second owner.
I had looked after her for six years previous to purchasing her for £200, the Old boy that owned her wanted my to have her as he wanted her to go to a good home. I gave him £200 (he named the price) and promised him that I would bring her back to glory and would not sell her on! He did get to see the results before he passed on a few years later.
Cheers for now.
Jon
