Bit sad isn't it? I mean, I can build an engine and put it in a car and yet I can't figure out how to post pictures. I guess I am old school.

Anyway: progress has been halted today...thanks to RIMMER BROS!

Their TR7 Sprint tubular exhaust header doesn't fit. It fouls the front chassis structural member under the shock tower.

I am going to have to grind off the seams and reweld them flush with the surface of the header collector to get enough clearance.

When things are going well and not even Mother Nature can rain you out, you can always count on Robber Bros. to throw a spanner into the works.

(I know that it isn't true, but I am just frustated right now).
If it wasn't for that, I might have been able to start her up today. Now I think it'll be at least a week.

Excellent. Your not the only one who is precipitationally challenged. Oxfordshire and Solihull in the UK is awash. Sat PM I took my Fathers Jag apart to fix a broken coil spring (B****** of a job, makes a dolly Sprint look like a walk in the park).

Car is now on axle stands with a bin liner over the front suspension waiting for the rain to pass. Still, gave us time to manufacture a special 'tool' to compress the strut in situ. Almost got there on Sat evening but the rain came in and it was getting late, sometimes you just have to call it a day.

I'm alos 'up to date' with all club orders (was a bit behind - away on business a lot last week) so today I'll fix the tumble dryer and earn myself some points. Shame cos this weekend was going to be about returning XAA to the road post winter 'layup' - winter seems to be back
