But a FREELANDER????? I thought you knew about cars Jonners!!!!!!
I'd rather PUSH my CAVALIER (never mind the Carledo) than drive a Freelander, not that you ever can drive a Freelander, they're just expensive drive ornaments!

I know damn all about freelanders but it got smiles and cheers from me for just being such a leftfield choice of tool for that job. Did sound good though, must have been a V8.Carledo wrote:But a FREELANDER????? I thought you knew about cars Jonners!!!!!!

Re: Today's Top Spot
I think I've come across that Freelander before, and if it is the one I'm thinking of, there isn't much Freelander in it - GRP panels on a spaceframe chassis that simply looks like a Freelander...
Were the Armed Forces Rally Team out there? They are brilliant, they use a fleet of almost-standard 'Wolf' Land Rovers and drive more impressively than half the proper rally cars. They also have a brilliant cameraderie, pulling each other, and other competitors, out of ditches on the way!

Re: Today's Top Spot
Well, you can guarantee the sunshine brings them all out !
Today was an excellent day for Classics.
First spot; I think it was known as a " Commer flat-bed". Like this one only in grey. And pre-1963.

Then 2 TR6's one red and one white on the A322
wave, wave, a TR5 look-alike with a hard top in sparkling racing green.
But the top spot has to be this Sunbeam Talbot in excellent used every day condition at Kempton Park.

Re: Today's Top Spot
Just spotted SFB on my driveway....
Does that count? Probably not, but it does look good.

On stands so I could sort the exhaust flange gasket and take pics of underneath....duly done and sounding good.

A20 west bound Sellindge to Ashford KENT
HLK 746 S Looked like a complete rag top sprint.
Unusual but nice looking, about an hour ago.
On my own so did not have chance to get a pic.
