Paint/TrimCombinations
Paint/TrimCombinations
Does anyone have a reference for paint/trim combinations for 1969 ?. My 1300 FWD is various shades of white, just trying to find out the correct name/code,
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
The paint code should be stamped on the plate which has the commssion number (located on the nearside inner wing in the engine bay).

Yes but the plate disappeared years ago when some body repairs were being done.Toledo Man wrote:The paint code should be stamped on the plate which has to commssion number (located on the nearside inner wing in the engine bay).
Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
All this will say is white as per the v5. All I need is one of the pamphlets the dealers had stating the colours for each model for 1969. I have some BMC ones for minis etc., should be something similar for triumph.DoloWIGHTY wrote:Get a Heritage certificate, that will have them.

Try here, it has some year info and there are some links to other similar pages with more at the bottom.
1978 Pageant Sprint - the rustomite, 1972 Spitfire IV - sprintfire project, 1968 Valencia GT6 II - little Blue, 1980 Vermillion 1500HL - resting. 1974 Sienna 1500TC, Mrs Weevils big brown.

Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
There are only 2 shades of white anyway and one is very rare. my money is on your car being code 19 called (imaginatively) White!

Are you sure? I thought it gave the actual names of the colours and code numbers?111Robin wrote:All this will say is white as per the v5.DoloWIGHTY wrote:Get a Heritage certificate, that will have them.
Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
You might be correct, I think my Cooper heritage certificate states Snowberry White. I don't really need one for the 1300 though, I know its history from new so not worth the cost.
Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
Mine for the GT6 does state Valencia Blue. If a few more folk can check theirs and have the full name shown then Steve's nailed it.

Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
There is only one white for the 1300's and that is English White code 19 but be careful trying to match it as there are three different English whites under the BL/ Rover colour scheme.

Brilliant, thanks. Typical BL !!TrustNo1 wrote:There is only one white for the 1300's and that is English White code 19 but be careful trying to match it as there are three different English whites under the BL/ Rover colour scheme.
Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
Justyn speaks the truth, matching the white is a PITA.

Re: Paint/TrimCombinations
White 19 is also the code I had on a W plate 1850.
It matched ok with a Holts aerosol.
