Paint/TrimCombinations

#1 Post by 111Robin »

Does anyone have a reference for paint/trim combinations for 1969 ?. My 1300 FWD is various shades of white, just trying to find out the correct name/code,
Thanks.

The paint code should be stamped on the plate which has the commssion number (located on the nearside inner wing in the engine bay).

Yes but the plate disappeared years ago when some body repairs were being done.

Get a Heritage certificate, that will have them.

All this will say is white as per the v5. All I need is one of the pamphlets the dealers had stating the colours for each model for 1969. I have some BMC ones for minis etc., should be something similar for triumph.

There are only 2 shades of white anyway and one is very rare. my money is on your car being code 19 called (imaginatively) White!

Are you sure? I thought it gave the actual names of the colours and code numbers?

You might be correct, I think my Cooper heritage certificate states Snowberry White. I don't really need one for the 1300 though, I know its history from new so not worth the cost.

Mine for the GT6 does state Valencia Blue. If a few more folk can check theirs and have the full name shown then Steve's nailed it.

There is only one white for the 1300's and that is English White code 19 but be careful trying to match it as there are three different English whites under the BL/ Rover colour scheme.

Justyn speaks the truth, matching the white is a PITA.

White 19 is also the code I had on a W plate 1850.

It matched ok with a Holts aerosol.
