Hi all,
I'm looking to have my sills replaced as they are very rusty. So rusty I fact they you can fit four fingers in some of the holes... Both sides need doing.
I've been given a ball park worst case scenario quote of £1,600. I'm a little concerned at the car only cost me £1900 and I've spend more than that on it over he past two years. This said, runners have the three layers available for around £300 each side. Is circa £1000 good for labour?
What's your thoughts re costs for this, and will I need to have a respray afterwards?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Rusty sills
It sounds dear to me, then I would just cut out the rusty and graft in sections with the welder. If you have good original sills, not too bad this can be a better solution that cutting the whole sill off and replacing.
It is difficult to say what cost could be, as it may include innner outer sill and jacking points. Try posting some pics so we can have a look.
As regards to a respray that will depend on the finish you want, they can be painted black and no actual respray.

Re: Rusty sills
I'm sure the club sills are cheaper than that and £1000 labour is exorbitant!

Re: Rusty sills
You can have all three cill sections delivered, both sides for £255. That is if you need all three sections both sides?
Unlike other cill sections, the club panels are zintec and the reinforcer is a faithful reproduction of original equipment.
Make contact with a local member who can advise what you actually need.
Cost for fitting depends on how much needs doing...
