Well it cost me 4p for my twin SUs (these Triumphs sure are money pits).Alan, it only has one carb (the car's a Dolomite 1300) so it would only need one penny for the conversion.

It would be wise to make sure the ignition is 100%. There are some poor quailty parts out there so it is worth spending that bit more on decent quality parts.
