1850 auto in Poole

#1 Post by AlanH »

I was wondering if there is anybody in the Poole area that would be willing to have a look at a car for me.

I really just want bit more information before I go and have a look for myself, 200 miles is a long way to go for a nail.

I would be more than happy to pay any expenses including lunch.

Hi Alan all the best with it if you do go to look at the car. May i ask the year, colour and reg number please for the 1850 register that I'm keeping? I know Dave (Toledoman) will be interested too for the auto register...many sincere thanks.

Kind Regards

Russell.

It is already on my database. It was previously offered for sale in September at Westbury Auctions.

Howard81 could view this car. He has family down in Poole.

Interesting as it has later instruments but is still on strombergs.

Maybe that's an auto thing....I thought later instruments went with the change to SU's.

Looks well worth the money IMHO.

Agreed, that looks fine and well priced on the face of it. Seems to look reasonably correct with no chin spoiler, single rear number plate lamp, s-steel hub caps and Stromberg carbs (as far as I know).

You could pm "whitedollysprint" on this forum, not been active for a while but he lives in Poole and is restoring a Sprint. Worth a try!
