Will be coming back to this wiring malarkey as having got the MGB type fuse box I'm about as confused as a baby racoon!

Still, got the refurbed Sierra brake calipers on Trackerjack 's brkts which are looking a bit mint! They also fit under std wheels and will be getting the aeroquip type hoses on soon, front and back....

As I've shown in another thread, the brake plumbing is under way despite everything being imperial and the two fittings in the tandem master cylinder being metric!

Next jobs are to sort all the extra wiring routes etc. and to create the cradle for the fuel tank hoping that all the braised hose fuel fittings will be waiting for me when I get home tonight...

Hi Shaun, Here is my installation of the MGB 4-fuse box. Ignore the external mega-fuse for the headlights btw.

Still battling with the baffling electrics but think I'll get it sorted sooner or later - in the meantime I've wired the rear of the car up and got a feed and earth to the fuel pump.

Have got the fuel tank sat in its bespoke cradle and fastened to the boot floor and have got the fuel lines plumbed in now though I am worried to death about them leaking, despite them screwed up pretty tightly......

Almost got the brakes plumed up, just waiting for Super Al to come round and plumb the braided hoses to the front and back.

Slow progress....not quite the latest pic as I've tidied all the wiring up , but it's progressing...

Image

Additionally the Master cylinder literally popped to bits the other night with no external influence...there was a clang and I searched around in the foot well and the clevis pin/rod had just fallen out!

Got a refurb kit from Rimmer's and sorted it all tonight. Thanks to James for his clear and easy to understand pics etc...

Image

A tad on the properly filthy side.....

Image

Anyhoo, after disassembling, cleaning, fitting new seals and adding the grease etc., I appear to have a bit of the kit left over!

What's the big rubber washer for, anyone? It doesn't appear in the parts manual....

You don't need that big rubber ring, it's to go inside the reservoir cap on models with the reservoir on the cylinder.

Just seen your avos on the front. Watch the bottom bush when you get it on then road, they are absolute rubbish - destroyed mine in 2000 miles....they are a known problem. Ian

Had these made a while ago with a uniball. Wasn't much extra costs. Sorry for the poor pic.

No worries Juri - thanks for posting.

Juri/Ian can these ball joint things be retro fitted?

I'm assuming I don't need to send them back or worse still, replace the entire unit?
