Tony, somewhere I'm sure I heard that Cambridge Motorsport have them made at JE, but to their own specification. If that is the case, they may not be available through a specific part number. Not sure how much CM charge?

In 2013 when I last built a motor (from a 1850 auto block), I got my standard diameter forged pistons from CP Carrillo to my own spec. I had to send an old piston over, but they said if I wanted any more, just to quote their job numbers.

If its of any interest, the customer no: 0456, job no: 204145, PO no: Dolomite. Spec sheet had the date printed as 30/7/2013. Happy to send you a copy of the spec sheet. I used new but standard rods and the engine builder bored and prepared the block to suit after the pistons arrived.

Thanks Geoff, that may be useful. Ive read on here 2 people at least have said they ordered from the states to save money so assumed they were on stock at JE (the sizes at least). I quite like CP actually ,have used them in a lot of forged (Jap) builds. If I need more info I'll give you a shout mate. BTW the Cambridge set is now over £800!

I think Stag pistons would be considerably smaller since a Sprint cylinder displaces circa 500cc and a Stag cylinder only 375cc(ish)

I got my JE's when the £ vs $ was very favourable. If you deal with JE Direct you can do but expect them to be a bit awkward and not overly easy to deal with. That said what I got back from them was 4 superbly made pistons, perfectly equal in weight, seemed a shame to put them in the engine really. The Cambridge design is just a design, it's not their own unique one AFAIK.

Maybe someone like Omega has the necessary design already, they do forged and cast of exceptional quality and are based in Halesowen.

Mark did yours come with a part number or just a customer ref?
I have contacted Omega on the weekend via their website but not heard back yet. About 6 years ago we used Omega for a load of toyota builds and there was a minimum order of 12 pistons, so if they have sprint details and can do an offer I was thinking of a group buy and see if theres interest here.

I would need to check my paperwork for the ref but the one quoted looks familiar for some reason.

Tony,
I too would like a set of JE pistons. I tried a little while ago to contact JE in the States via email and got no reply.
If you make contact could you let us know?
Thanks
