Standard HS6 carbs are 1.75"

You need to measure the diameter of the throat of the carburettor body.

Alternatively, if there is still a small ID tag held beneath one of the float chamber lid screws, post what code is stamped on it and we'll tell you what the carbs are.

The carb mounts are one of the parts we still carry, and I believe they come supplied with O rings.

I don't, sorry Dave, it's not one of the lines I'm involved in. An e-mail enquiry to tdcspares should elicit a prompt answer though.

The 1.75" alloy mounts for the standard Sprint carbs come complete with 'O' rings. They are on order but not sure when they will be here.
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. :boggle2: ... Still Sprintless.

Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

They look like HS8 (2") possibly, as both float chambers are to the rear. Measure the diameter of the throat to be certain.

Pair of HD8's there either off a Jag ( I hope) or a Rover 2000TC ( wrong for a dolly unless well modified

The club mounts will not work as these are two inches.

I suspect the Rover origin due the the fuel connection, which looks more Rover-ish plus the Jag has a starting carb fitment.
Could be wrong though?

How do they run?

Do you have to take the carb off the manifold to be able to measure the diameterof the throat

No need....they are HD8's.

8 = 2 inches in SU parlance....

6 = 1.75 inches

4 = 1.5 inches.
