Re: Identification
I'm no expert on the later cars but I believe the VIN number is stamped on the boot aperture on the rear screen end not the lock end, also on the plate in the engine bay. I'm sure someone more learned will be along shortly to confirm / correct.

Re: Identification
It's not a sticker your after, I've seen James's Sprint markings, and they are about 1/2" engraved/embossed lettering.
I'm sure there's a picture in his thread.

Re: Identification
If you car has the newer style VIN (11 digits, not the VA***DLO number) it will have the number stamped into the boot channel.
Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
Re: Identification
Look from inside the boot, underneath the number and you might well find that they can be read. When stamped at the factory, it breaks what little paint is there and quietly rusts!
Re: Identification
Yes, you're right - it is stamped - I cleaned it up and the number is visible on the top too.Reg wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 11:09 amLook from inside the boot, underneath the number and you might well find that they can be read.
