bought it on himself really, just saying what most of us probably wanted to. so all dolomite owners are old, broken down and 'overheat'?

sorry if i upset anyone but im not being tarred with that brush by some egit who thinks he can wade in here and apply unfounded sweeping bull sh1t statements like that, and i dont give a toss if it is hammond, clarkson or the prince of fookin bongo-land.

anyway, my sprint doesnt overheat
Maybe your SODOMITE doesn't, but you do.
Lame. Seriously lame. Do you not have to go and do your homework?

"enigma" isnt my 1st choice of noun

i mean come on, what kind of person professes to be a dolomite owner, slags his own car off along with all the members of the biggest club dedicated to interests relating to these cars and possibly biting the hand that one day may be requested to feed him/her with parts/expertise, claiming that we're a bunch of old duffers who get over-excited?

i wonder how many members we have under 35?

i wonder why he chooses to keep his car if it's so terrible?

more than enough time wasted debating the issue, probably a wind up anyway

Rumour has it that one of the Top Gear presenters is orf to pastures new.
So maybe they will get someone who can actually drive properly.
Lewis H is apparantly going round the test track this coming Sunday so I will watch for sure.

One other thing I noticed from some of you was the fact that you were quite happy that the Princess was not much nor the Rover. mmmmmmmmmmmm to TG presenters all cars involved would not buy a set of tyres on the cars they use, therefore totally expendible.

Our image as a model needs lifting  ..............more track days and more cars burnt off by Dollies is req IMHO.
Most peoples impression of a Dolomite is a slow boring car driven by old people.........like me :D
track action maniac.

Hamster has not got the car my contact has  .

Not many details as yet but it will not be Scrapped :) .

I'll let you know more when I have more details.
Phil, how about a visit to the resto show, get it all tickadeeboo and then allow the stig to do a lap to show the performance?
Do the BBC pay for repair, or repair it themselves if they damage a car whilst on track?
Wouldn't want them to wreck it again ya see.

Would be good publicity all round

At some point in the future the fully story will emerge. Until then, you will all have to wait and see. The car will not be scrapped, which is the important news. It may make it on to a TDC display one day, who knows? Anyway, that really is all there is to say about this car for the time being. Now how about some more entries for the Festive Photo Competition, eh? See the Members-only section for details.
Please note that I am simply a Forum administrator, so please do not contact me unless your question is regarding your Forum account. For general enquiries regarding the Club and its services (membership queries, questions about spares, lapdancing etc) please see https://forum.triumphdolomite.co.uk/vie ... hp?t=20098

Are you enjoying using our forum? If so why not support the owners club which provides it by joining The Triumph Dolomite Club? Help us to preserve these great cars for future generations.
Club membership costs just £30 for one year or £55 for two years. See https://forum.triumphdolomite.co.uk/vie ... =4&t=37824 for details.

Thanks for the interest in my posting.
Yes it was a wind up but you seemed to be taking the tg program to heart so I thought I would lighten it up a bit.
I have owned my SODOMITE for over 20 years.
Only another 1281 posting to catch up to you DOLLYBOY

Also yeah we get annoyed when a top TV show starts knocking "our cars" so with everybody worked up about this i dont think it was the right time/thread for you to start knocking them aswell, even if you have owned one for 20 years, we dont know you and as it was your first post it probably wasn't the best way to introduce yourself, they say first impessions count and boy yours did by the sound of it!!
If you owned one you would know
excuse me but my car is older then your DOLOMITE mate and its never over heated, and is a bloody good car!! im not playing game's with you, im asking a simple question.......to which all is required is a simple answer!!!

The noun sodomite has one meaning:

Meaning #1: someone who engages in anal copulation (especially a male who engages in anal copulation with another male)
Synonyms: sodomist, sod, bugger

The brakes are poor and its easy to rear end other cars
