A good turn out for the Northern Dolly Day......a bit hard for the families that camped on the Saturday night, rain and more rain!!!.......but Sunday was a lot different, the sun was out and so were the cars. We managed to put a few faces to the names on the TDC site. About mid day we drove the short distance to the Tan Hill Inn for lunch and very nice it was too. Our thanks go to Jake and his dad for the use of his camp site. I've attached a few pic's to remind you of the day.
Best regards to you all.

Hello again all,

Good to meet you all over the weekend, apologies for my father and I not getting more "involved" in the activties of the weekend, having friends and their 1 year old daughter and my sister visiting at the same time meant that much of the weekend was taken up with family type demands! Sorry I missed the group photo; perhaps next year!

Some photos are here:

More to be added when I get over the 180 mile journey home!

It was a good day for me marred only by a leaky autobox which was depositing it's fluid on the exhaust. (hence the smoke seen on my arrival!) I think I have stopped the leak so fingers crossed. I'll be posting my pics when I get home.

Nice to see you all at Keld, thank you for coming along. Great driving roads around there, but you do need a bit of power - thank goodness for my 1850!

Tan Hill pub must have been good, not many of you returned before I had to leave at 2pm!

Cheers

It was good to meet you all. It was a very wet Saturday night, tonked it down, but we managed to see it through with the weather being kind to us on Sunday. We eventually managed to pack up once the tent dried out!

Just like to say many thanks to Jake and Peter for their hospitality.

Good to meet Tom, god knows what the others were thinking, to two men talking about bras and knickers in the pub car park!

SOME GREAT PHOTOS POSTED.

Could some of you please send large file photos direct to Glynn for Dolly Mixture. Don't reduce them when sending via e mail as we would like to use some of them in full colour and reduced size files do NOT print at all well.

If as Jake says his father is selling the site, then we need to look for another venue for a northern do in 2009; How about Beamish? Can anybody near by make an enquiry to see if they charge clubs for the use of their rally field.
