impact looks in a downward fashion one gap looks ok from what you can see and a fair bit of the rear panel gap to the rear door is visable the otherside has probably even less damage but i'd like to see proper side on shots but that is a very clean very low mls on that even still has silver paint left on the ex manifold so doubt if it's ever been driven hard the fan looks as if it's just come from the factory not even dirty !!!

Maybe lucky, but even the nearside wing is creased above the arch...

Currently worth buying for the 3/8" wheel nuts alone!

Yes indeed a shame, brings tears to your eyes! Inevitably this girl is going to be broken for bits, but I would imagine a DECENT bodybuilder would be able to sort this out, perhaps fabricating the rear wings. It does make you wonder what happened to the spare wheel and fuel tank as neither is far away from the rear panels! Newer cars have softer crumple zones, and if an air bag has gone off, the other car was probably written off too!

I do feel for the driver as well (assuming there was someone in it), this was probably a pretty big bang, and the head restraints probably aren't that well cushioned when it comes to the crunch... sorry bad pun

I've asked before about how our cars fare in accidents - reckon worse would be to be t-boned, like most cars!

I asked how it was done, Seller doesn' know, came to them like it.

Cut the boot off, get a rear valance and weld it right below the rear screen :D

And then be prepared to sort the Autobox out. If that was in Drive when the car was 'hit' it certainly won't have done it any good. I knew a chap with a 2500S Auto who was 'banged from behind' (so to speak) nowhere near as much damage as this one. Almost straight away the Autobox started to play up, he had a right game with the insurers to sort it all out, months later he was still driving artound with his modified rear end and dodgy gear change - car wouldn't change up unless you lifted off the throttle. It was fine pre-bump.

This one looks a real shame as it look so good pre-shunt but realistically it is a diff shell needed and poss a conversion to manual box. A toedo rear end might be a better fit looking at the overall length of this car now :frown:
