Re: Project PFJ (French Blue Sprint)

Maybe the week after Lee!

Well I've had a good couple of days on PFJ so far this holiday weekend. Spent most of Friday morning cleaning the wiring loom. Had to redo a couple of connectors, as they came off in my hand. Also retaped some of the engine bay wiring as it had started to unravel. Took me over an hour to get the small loom that does the door switches & interior light in place. A bit fiddly trying to thread the wires along the roof section & down the 'A' & 'B' pillars.

Got the engine & g/box in place first thing this morning & fitted the new front shocks. Servo, clutch & brake MCs, front brake pipes, heater assembly & control pedals all in place.

Excellent progress indeed Mart! 8)

Did you re-use the bulkhead insulation?

I need one desperately in the original material... and LHD... :?

Mart that absent cam cover gives me the willies...
I'd hate the thought of something being dropped down there unnoticed...clean as it would doubtless be...

Jonners
Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.

Ronald, I reused the old pad (after Mary had cleaned it up).

Jonners, don't panic! I keep it covered, I just uncovered it for the photo. :D

Hi Mart,

As always I am in awe, the quality of your work (and Mary's) never ceases to amaze me. Every project you undertake results in an amazing car, yet the next is always even better. I really didn't think you'd be able to better BFR, but I think you just might.

I'm not worthy.........
