Handbrake Actuation Levers
Anyone else know if the Dolomite ones are the same as the MGC? I believe they are. I did purchase a NOS one from Fitchetts but on comparison to my existing lever which was broken it seems to be slightly the wrong size. From what I see no one has any new Dolomite levers but the MGC ones may well be the same and they are available, albeit very expensive.

Hmmm.......
Given that Dolomite back brakes use the same shoes and return springs as Fords of the late 60s/early 70s,
would Escort mark one/Capri/Cortina mark 2 actuators be the same too?
(Yes I know the original or remanufactured Ford stuff is shockingly dear
.)
Ian.
BTW I am sure you will already know this...Sprints have the same actuators as 1850s and 1500(HL)s.

I believe the Ford ones are shorter where the cable attaches, I think I actually have a Ford one NOS. They are very similar but due to the cable length I suspect it won't work.

OK I checked an MGC one next to a Dolomite one, they are the same. Alas Moss want £50 a side for them but at least it's good to know that someone has re-made them.

Are your old ones unusably worn Mark? I should have a couple from a 1500HL.

One I found to be broken on the end but I have been able to source a good replacement fortunately.

Yet another item to keep if you are scrapping a dolomite.
