#1 Post by richphy »

Hi all,
I bought a second-hand Spring engine recently. I plan to turn it over - does anyone know what size spanner/ socket I'll need please? Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

38mm socket fits on crank pulley, should be able to turn it over with a decent size bar, maybe a longish spanner. It can be a bit of a struggle when you're fighting the engines compression. Removing the spark plugs would obviously make it easier.

I had the same problem, bought a socket, but it would be nice if they sold a offset spanner to fit,as when the fan is in place the socket doesnt fit ?

Or 1.5" if you are metricated. Not 38mm, although it will fit 😊
