Facet red top fuel pump

#1 Post by sprintchris »

Hi,

Now the warmer weathers in its back to the rebuild!

I need to wire in the facet fuel pump, I’m sure many people out there have these on their Sprints.

Any advice on wiring in the control relay? Earth/battery permanent live easy, has anyone got a recommendation as to where to take the ignition live from? Is there a spare channel at the ignition switch? What did you do to your car? I will be fitting a fuel cut off in case of an accident, this will go around the strut turret area, and I’m thinking of fitting one at the rear too.

Ideas on this would be great.

Chris.

I took an ignition feed from the fuse box and wired in Jag V12 fuel cut out switch.

If you wire the feed via the oil pressure switch it also acts as a cut out.

Surely that only works when you are upside down with no oil pressure. If you have a big impact and the engine still runs, how does that cut the fuel supply ?

Ford fuel pump relay and ebay inertia switch.

Most reliable and effective.
