recently i have encountered a funny situation. When starting/driving the sprint from cold,, if the heater control is at cold position, the temp gauge climbs almost to fully hot for a brief time (as engine warms) before eventually settling to "normal"....If heater control is warm/hot position this ...

timing
checked my sprints timing (about 900/1000rpm) with good snapon gun. set it at 10degsbtdc as told..car runs ok,ish. turning to 16 degsbtdc it spees up a fair bit and smoother too. i always thought correct timing would produce best /fastest tickover, and retarding/advancing would worsen it, is this ...

is it possible to set the ign. timing on a sprint by strobe gun? if so at what revs and what degrees is correct...<br>
also, this maybe a silly one, if setting timing at static, what is the best way to turn over the engine?<br>

Guys, before i break something, can anyone tell me this,,,,according to the factory sprint manual, a spreader tool is reqd. to enable diff unit to be removed from axle casing..Is this neccesary or can it be achieved without one?<br>

I am finally enjoying a quiet day at work, so have stuck the sprint up on stands, to whip off the front shocks and see whats what, they are konis, which i have now adjusted a bit more stiffly, my springs have part no. TKC768 u/r written on them, anyone tell me what spec this no. relates to?.who ...
