looking at the exploded diagram for the manifold it shows a helicoil insert for the thread thats stripped on my own manifold yet i have never seen one listed on any parts list other than the bl parts book,can anyone else remember did they have to fit a helicoil insert into the manifold when changing ...

Not between head and manifold on a sprint,downpipe and manifold theres a gasket.

were the exhaust manifolds for sprints machined at the factory for the specific head it was matched up with, as they have no gasket as such (mine needs helicoiling and just wondering can i swap with another manifold).

i will have a look today in the garage,i think i may have 5 or 6 left. after looking i can only find four,let me know if you want them.

someone else trying to pass off a 1850 dolly as a sprint ? i just had to use ask seller a question asking if it says dolomite sprint on the log book.<br>

surely if your friend wanted to get a reasonable price for the car a few of the jobs could be done to max his return,surely the new starter in the boot could be fitted (It's not a big job) and points are a doddle to fit,at least if the car was running potential buyers can at least have the knowledge ...

one on the bay, 2inch carbs as well,wheres the engine breather hose going to?<br>

yep a right shame,the sprint did not look like too much of a project to put back on the road.another one lost for the sake of a quick buck!

For peace of mind i am going to put the seals back where they should be ( between spring and flying saucer),on reflection i should have just done it with out posting on the forum,i would only have had kittens every time i took the car out wondering if any damage was being done,any one got the spin ...
