Yes of course several folk have used alloy rings that I have turned up for them and the last complete set did too.triplesfanatic wrote:Hi Trackerjack,
I am considering uprating the front brakes on my 1980 Sprint at some stage but my mate is building an RV8 Dolly and this will hopefully get the Trackerjack conversion. As I understand it there are a couple of bits of fabrication that are required as well as your brackets. One involves turning down the old disc to work as a clamp washer and the other modifying the new disc. Would it not be possible to have a batch of clamp washers made up rather than have to turn down the old discs? Maybe you or someone has already done this. What parts specialist are available for the Trackerjack conversion and where can I get hold of them? I'm sure I can get source Sierra/Ka callipers and the right vented discs.

you will now have to worry that the car behind can stop as quick as you
problems problems always problems
Read the advert and they are annoying because nowhere do they give full details plus two suppliers are obviously going to war because they have filled 10 pages of adverts for the same bloody thingmahony wrote:I will have to be on my guard thentrackerjack wrote:Ah but instead of worrying about not stoppingmahony wrote:Soon I will be able to report on Trackerjack brakes as I will soon be in possession of a set![]()

, i found these on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370533049958? ... 1423.l2649
L/h and R/h , i take it there ok for your kit Jon
Its worse if you are looking for wheels and tyres as 3 wheel suppliers have managed to fill 30 pages of the same bloody stuffmahony wrote:Thank's Jon, will check they have the correct hole, i can see your point about the amount of adverts for the same thing, bloody annoying
Oh yes indeed that was very important as Sprint wheels still look the best on a Dolly IMHO.triplesfanatic wrote:Also, I assume (hope) TJ brakes will fit with standard Sprint alloys.
Hi SteveCarledo wrote:Hi John, Have had my TJ kit on the Carledo for 2 years now and several spirited trackdays as well as fast road use, with no sign of fade, warping or abnormal wear on the discs. I had Goodridge make me some flexis and use standard factors pads.
Before the conversion I took the car to prodrive and 3 quick laps of that rather short circuit was enough to leave me without a pedal even on greenstuff pads, dot 5.1 fluid, goodridge hoses and every other improvement I could make to the standard brakes. Now 8-9 laps of Castle Coombe is no bother to it and stopping distances are at least 30% better too, To say I'm well pleased is an understatement!
Can I please have a pair of the larger (270mm?) Golf discs modified for me as MY Sprint is on 14" Minilite replicas and will accept them comfortably, I already have some calipers and carriers (Puma) and the rest of the kit including a pair of 240 mm discs which will be redundant though I might keep them as spares for the Carledo. Since the Sprint is Auto, has (or will have) a 147bhp 2.2ltr Omega lump and SWMBO may drive it, I want the biggest and best brakes I can get!
Cheers and thanks! Steve
