There's a civilised correct way to fit this part and a way how the bush people would push it in.

There should be a washer in between the UJ and the bush.the upper UJ shaft assy ends up snug against the face of the steering bush

Sorry you havent been around long enough. Jeroen and I dont often disagree because I am always right and he is seldom wrong.
However he thinks the flat bit is on the engine bay side and I think its as the parts book shows and the flat bit is inside the car.
We agreed to differ and I suspect the lhd cars he is more familiar with may well have been done differently for the most part.
So that fills you in....we try not to talk about it too much these days..... Bit like ballast bypass and electronic ignition....
