Hi All,
Took the Sprint for its first run in two months last night to confirm that the cooling system was actually working.
Started out cautiously just round the block, then went further afield. Kept a close eye ...

Solid steering coupling and intermediate shaft modifications
There was a discussion earlier about replacing the impact coupling with an escort UJ and how some people have had to shorten the intermediate shaft to get everything to fit.

I recently fitted said UJ and didn't need to shorten the shaft to bits to fit (i withdrew the steering column instead ...

Had to replace a leaky SU jet this evening due to poor fitting by myself (didn't know how to remove float bowl resulting in a kinked jet tube)
Anywho - can someone explain to me what holds the jet tube into the base of the float bowl?
Spin on adapters
Does anyone over there other than Ri**ers stock these?
Does anyone have a part number for the cartridge that comes with them - as i'm sure i can get a filter cheaper than the 7.5 squid quoted.

Cheers,
Re: cut off
Mine's under the passenger seat (on the outside of the car).

I gather by wiring in the fuel pump via the oil pressure switch, you loose the ability to pump fuel into the float bowls prior to starting the engine?
I looked at the first shot in that series and thought:

"Scott's taken up drift racing!"

then looked at the rest and thought...

"No, Scott's taken up stunt driving!"
Sprint Gearbox/Clutch
Right, how expensive is it when you start to depress the clutch pedal and hear a humming sound? Reverse is also difficult to engage sometimes (wants to remove teeth)

Clutch is about 1000km old, gearbox oil level checked about 200km ago.
Well, i sorted out me clutch problem - by removing the carpet and whilst tuning the car for its first run i noticed the following.
I did have a 4-wheel "thrust" alignment done, which aparently was "way out". The handling and tracking is fine it just looks odd.
Would i be correct in thinking that the rear subframe mounts are on the ends of the chassis rails?
