Re: Should I repair, or get rid of it?

Get yourself a Superflex column bush to solve the issue.

I'd never noticed they were offset before now. Which way do they go round?

I've just sold a load of Vandervell Cooper S bearings, typical.

Re: Headlamp Seal Rings - Source or Workaround

I think when I had sets made it was out of EPDM sheet. I had them die cut as the company I used was set up for making more than just a one off. It wouldn't be difficult to cut them yourself by hand though.

Re: Non-Dolomites

Greenbrier a lovely vehicle. Is it the van or the pick-up version? Would love a good day van, would happily get rid of the Silver Streak Clipper trailer to fund one.
Regards,
Richard

My greenbrier is the passenger van version with 3 bench seats/ There was also a cargo van version and as you say ...

Re: Cars made worse by facelifts

The Rover 25 and 45, late last ditch effort facelifts looked awful and by that time a lot of quality had been removed from the car to keep costs down. Fiat Multipla facelift made it look more normal so therefore taking away the purpose of the oddball looking thing in the first place.

Excellent. I'll get in touch directly and we can sort out a suitable time/day to come pick one up and me drop off the old core to you.

Or do what I did, cover the board with van lining carpet. Looks great and covers any score marks. Not original at all but looks great.

Yes I could buy one off of eBay but I'd rather support the club's/Alun's efforts where possible.

Re: Sprint radiators

Aluminium is used in rads mostly to save weight and you can make much thinner tubes with it and so have a larger surface area vs copper/brass for a given size. However it is susceptible to corrosion simply due to the location, think muck, salt and stone being thrown at them. They tend to crumble ...

Re: Current Sprint Start Motor Situation?

Excellent. Do I order through club spares or through you Alun? I can arrange to get you my old core I'm sure. Given the weight of the units it'd make more sense for me to pick up from you anyway and you're not that far away.
