exaust manifold gaskets

as explained above, the Sprint was not fietted with an exhaust manifold gasket.

However, should you wish to fit one for whatever reason, they are available from Moss. Cannot remember the part number but think it is a TR7 item?? I used it on a previous Sprint that had a custom 4:1 manifold ...

Engine number suffix

Seem to recall a posting recently about engine numbers, and although the answers were naturally correct, I don't recall an explanation as to what the suffix HE meant after the engine number.

I found it just a few minutes ago...HE means high compression. Strangely the code LE is also given ...

Sprint production figures

Whilst looking for an answer to Aluns 1500HL questions I stumbled across the production numbers for the Sprint. I think this answers those few who question weather the first 2000 were all Mimosa:

1973 - 5446
1974 - 4232
1975 - 3589
1976 - 4035
1977 - 2554
1978 - 1352<br ...

1500HL

Ooo, good question(s) Alun.

Having a quick read through the front of the Rimmers catalogue I can only come up with "in March 1976 Triumph rationalised the range of cars" and it then shows a table which includes the Dolomite 1500HL.

flashing!

The club do indeed supply a modern flasher unit. It takes only a couple of minutes to fit and comes with instructions. The only additional thing you will need is a short length of cable for the earth.

Mmmm...

...seem to recall that the early Dolomite bodied 1500fwd were shiny bright (up to about 1972?) but that the 1500HL were certainly black. Any feedback from 1500 owners to clarify?
